Minecraft Analytics vs bStats
bStats and Minecraft Analytics do not replace each other. bStats tells a plugin author how many servers run their jar. Minecraft Analytics tells you what your own servers are doing.
What bStats does
bStats is the public chart plugin authors add so the community can see install counts. The data is aggregated and is not your server's logs.
What Minecraft Analytics does
Minecraft Analytics stays inside your account. Logs, metrics, and exceptions are scoped to your tenant, and another network cannot read them.
When to use which
- Use bStats when you publish a plugin and want public usage charts.
- Use Minecraft Analytics when you operate servers and need private logs, health, and exceptions for those servers.
